Chennai Public School Strikes Gold in Farm Fest

CHENNAI: Kirupavani and Suman Choudhury of Class 10, Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai, bagged the first prize, cash award and trophy, for their project titled ‘Analysis of Chemical and Natural Fertilisers and Application of the Robotic Farming Method’ in Farm Fest 2014.

It was created under the guidance of their robotics trainers Jalauddin Mohd Ansari Shajahan, Jeyapriya and chemistry teacher Dhanasekaran. The project was fabricated and designed to help farmers work on their farms from remote locations.

This year being the International Year of Family Farming, SBOA School and Junior College organised the fest to create awareness among the urban population about the importance of family farming.
