'Allegations About Land Sale Tasteless'

BANGALORE: Murugha Mutt seer Dr Shivamurthy Swamy, on Sunday, slammed allegations about irregularities in the sale of the Mutt’s land, and termed them as ‘tasteless’.

The seer told reporters here on Sunday that the Mutt was open to any kind of investigation. “We have followed rules and regulations while selling the land and have not broken any law. There have been no irregularities. There is no truth or meaning in the allegations. We are ready to face investigations so the law can take its course,” he said.

When quizzed on recent reports that former chief minister Jagadish Shettar had indulged in land-grabbing, the seer said he does not rely on media reports, and that he believes in the law.

“Let there be investigations in this regard as well,” he added.
