Driver Mows Down Boy

BANGALORE: A seven-year-old boy was knocked down by a car at M S Palya road in Yelahanka on Monday. The car driver Srinivas Rao himself rushed the severely injured boy to a hospital but he succumbed.  

The deceased Naveen, son of Prakash and Bhagyamma from North Karnataka, was walking to school around 8.30 am when the car hit him. He was a second standard student at a government school and his parents are caretakers of a farmhouse in the city. 

Rao has been arrested for reckless driving.
