BENGALURU: A man was found dead inside his car and a case of suicide has been registered at Hoskote police station on Monday. He has been identified as Shibu (38), an industrialist hailing from Kerala.
Police said Shibu committed suicide by consuming a soft drink laced with poison. He was running a small-scale industrial enterprise in Peenya Industrial Area and was staying in a rented accommodation in the vicinity with his wife and children.
Shibu’s car was parked around 500 metres away from a toll booth. Toll booth workers, checked the car as a foul smell was emanating from it and discovered the body. They informed the police. Police said Shibu incurred huge losses in his business, which drove him to take the extreme step.
“Shibu’s parents told us that he was missing since Friday. A missing complaint was also filed at the RMC Yard police station on Saturday,” said an official.
21-yr-old Nurse Ends Life
A 21-year-old nurse, who was working in a private hospital in the city, hanged herself in her room in Subramanyanagar near Rajajinagar on Sunday evening . The deceased is Divya, a native of Kollegal. She was residing in a room provided by the hospital authorities.
Subramanya Nagar Police said she ended her life when four of her colleagues, who were staying with her, were out for work.Her roommates, who returned later, informed police.
She left a suicide note, written in Tamil, saying no one is responsible for her death. However, the reason which led her to end her life is yet to be ascertained.
Water Tanker Mows Down Boy
A 13-year-old student was knocked down by a speeding water tanker at Raghuvanahalli near Kanakapura Road on Monday. The deceased is Bharath, a resident of Raghuvanahalli, who was studying in Class 7 in a government school in Thalaghattapura. His parents are said to be daily wagers. Police said the incident took place around 3.30 pm when Bharath was on his way home from school on his bicycle.
