BENGALURU: The High Court on Monday dismissed PIL challenging the alleged lavish spending by the state government for renovation of official residences of the Chief Minister, ministers and alteration work taken up at Vidhana Soudha.

Petitioner Gurunath Vadde had sought a CBI probe into the spending. However, the petition was dismissed by a division bench headed by acting Chief Justice Subhro Kamal Mukherjee, as there was no sufficient ground to prove that public money was siphoned off in the name of renovation.
