BENGALURU: Latha Rajnikanth, wife of superstar Rajnikanth, against whom a complaint was filed on Monday, has completely denied the allegations.
A release issued on Tuesday stated that the complaint is ‘absolutely false’ and has been made as a ‘tool to extort and make wrongful gains.’
Abirchand Nahar, the owner of Ad Bureau in Chennai, had registered a complaint stating that he had lent Rs 14.9 crore to Latha for the film Kochadaiyaan, out of which, only Rs 8.70 crore had been returned. It also said that the loan was given only after Latha agreed to stand as guarantor.
“Latha has not stood as guarantor as alleged. In fact, it was Abirchand and his wife who laid criminal pressure on Latha in order to make wrongful gains,” the release stated.
