State Public Prosecutor Venkatesh too Resigns

BENGALURU: B T Venkatesh on Tuesday resigned as State Public Prosecutor-II. He served for about 20 months. In the resignation submitted to Advocate General Prof Ravi Varma Kumar, Venkatesh stated that he is resigning as he is resuming law practice.

It may be recalled that Narayana Reddy resigned as State Public Prosecutor-I recently. When contacted, the Advocate General told Express that no reasons were cited by both the SPPs for their resignations. The appointment of SPPs is left to the state government, he added.
