Five Congressmen Expelled

BENGALURU:  Five members of the Congress party, who supported the JD(S) during the recent zilla panchayat polls, have been expelled from the party, said district Congress president of Chikkaballapura, Munikrishnappa.

Briefing reporters on Friday, he alleged that Shivashankar Reddy and V Muniyappa instigated the others to vote for JD(S) during the polls on July 28. “All of them, who voted against the party, have been sacked,” he added.

S M Narayanaswami was elected unopposed as the president while Radhamma Gangadharappa was elected as the vice-president.
