IAF To Work On 'Training Doctrine'

BENGALURU: The Indian Air Force (IAF) officers at its Training Command headquarters in the city will prepare a ‘Training Doctrine’ that will cater to technological changes in the force.

After looking into the changes that need to be incorporated to make training more effective, Air Marshal Ramesh Rai, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in- C) Training Command had prepared a concept paper on training requirements.

“We had sent the concept paper to Air Headquarters and the Training Command has now been asked to prepare the Training Doctrine,” Air Marshal Rai told Express. He superannuated on Friday after 38 years of service in IAF.

Air Marshal Ramesh Rai was commissioned as a fighter pilot in December 76. He was an Cat ‘A’ Flying Instructor with approx 4,500 hours of flying to his credit.
