BENGALURU: Railways on Friday sealed its portion of land in Kondappa Layout Main Road on Kaggadaspura by barricading the place. Around 15 personnel of the Railway Police Force, five of them armed, were brought to prevent any untoward incident.
Despite arguments and pleas from the public, the workmen completed the job and secured the railway property, a source said.
“A few railway personnel were explaining to the public that Railways owned the land,” the source further said.
The operation began at 11.30 am and was completed at 5.45 pm, a railway source said. “Rain disrupted the work and we had to stop for some time,” he said.
