Team Manjhi Gives IIM Students Valuable Tips

The cast and crew of the movie — based on the life of Dashrath Manjhi, the mountain man of Bihar — interacted with the students and exchanged views on entrepreneurial skills.

BENGALURU:The Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore (IIMB) hosted the team of the movie Manjhi-The Mountain Man, as a part of the eighth edition of its National Entrepreneurship Summit, Eximius 2015, held in the city on Saturday.

The cast and crew of the movie — based on the life of Dashrath Manjhi, the mountain man of Bihar — interacted with the students and exchanged views on entrepreneurial skills.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who plays the lead role in the film, complimented the theme of the summit ‘Let’s Get Started’ saying there was no ideal time to start a business venture or to be an entrepreneur. “The key to success is to not think that it will be served on a platter. Students should be ready to face new challenges and should keep themselves updated on real-life events,” he said.

Through an interactive session, the team brought to light the importance of taking the initiative and doing things on one’s own, by highlighting the life of Dashrath Manjhi, a man who carved a path out of a mountain working alone for 22 years, and benefiting his village.

Director of the movie Ketan Mehta said, “To be a successful entrepreneur, a person should have the dedication to conceive a big and difficult idea and make it successful through hard work.”
