BENGALURU: Yeshwanthpur police, along with NGO Saathi, on Thursday rescued 11 boys who had run away from their homes for various reasons. The NGO handed over the children to their parents.

Police said the boys are aged between 10 and 15 years. Four of them were from Karnataka, four from Uttar Pradesh and three from Bihar. All the children belonged to poor families. According to sources, some of the boys said that they ran away because they were being beaten by their parents. One of the boys said he was beaten by a teacher as he was not going to school regularly.
