Greenwood High Wins Chess Tournament

BENGALURU: Greenwood High International School won the inter-school chess tournament conducted by Rainbow Club Kidz library and Universal Chess Academy, held recently at Government Girls PU College, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru. Greenwood High won the overall school championship title and also won the category 1 and category 3 school trophies. Greenwood High students also won many individual prizes.

More than 300 children from different schools had taken part in this event.

Reetish Padhi (Grade 9D) scored seven points in eight rounds and received the first prize in the Category 3.

Adya Singh (Grade 9D) Scored six points and secured the second place in girls section of Category 3. Sahana Sivaramakrishnan (Grade 8E) who also scored six points secured the 3rd position.

Pragy Narayan (Grade 2A) scored seven points from eight rounds and secured the 2nd place in category 1. Aashi Agarwal 9 (Grade 4A) scored six points and secured the 2nd place in the Girls Section of Category 1.

Anya Syed Seth (Grade 4A) also scored six points and secured the 3rd position. Zoya Nizar (Grade 4A) scored 5.5 points and secured the 5th place and Prachi Dayal (4I) scored five points and secured the 6th place.
