Several senior IPS officers, including 16 DCPs, are supervising the arrangements.

Police Commissioner N S Megharikh told reporters on Monday that about 8,500 personnel, including civil police, 62 KSRP platoons and CAR personnel have been deployed around the counting centres, where a large number of candidates’ supporters are expected to gather come morning.

“The police will keep an eye on everyone entering the counting centres. Twenty-five ambulances and as many fire tenders too are being deputed,” Megharikh said.
