Cops Feted for Green Corridor Efforts

BENGALURU: As many as 43 traffic police personnel from police stations across the city were felicitated on Wednesday for their efforts in organising green corridors for organ transplants.

Speaking at a programme organised by the Association of Healthcare Providers India, Narayana Health chairman Dr Devi Prasad Shetty lauded the efforts of the policemen in assisting with cadaver transplants. “Green corridors have also helped people in generating awareness on organ transplants.”

City Police Commissioner N S Megharikh said when people are losing faith in institutions such as the police, green corridors have helped in reasserting the professionalism of the force.
