Retribution and Rage: One Night, Two Murders

BENGALURU: In two separate incidents, two persons were killed in Pulikeshi Nagar and JJ Nagar police limits on Tuesday night.

According to the police the deceased Pradeep Kumar(23) was a serial offender. He had cases of assault, two-wheeler thefts and burglary against him.

Pradeep had gone out to drink with two friends, Vikram and Johnson.  When they were at the Lingarajapuram flyover on their way back, they were stopped by men carrying lethal weapons. After being taunted for a while,the two friends escaped, while Pradeep was stabbed to death.

According to a statement given by  Vikram, his friend had assaulted two boys that afternoon in the same area. The police suspected someone involved in that gang to be linked to the murder.

 Pradeep was working as a holiday co-ordinator in a private travel agency and was a resident of DJ Halli. 

The arrested has been identified as Karthik alias Kulla Karthik, Vinod (19 years), resident of Modi road, DJ Halli, Stalin, Karthik and Karthik, residents of Old Bagalur Layout.

In another incident at Farookhi nagar, a 29-year-old street vendor killed another vendor over a money dispute,

According to the police, the deceased is identified as Mohammed Wasim and the accused is Salman  Police said,“The incident happened at around 8.30pm when the duo were sitting and having a casual chat near a tea stall.

Salman asked Wasim to lend him `2000. Wasim refused saying that he has the money but cannot give him the cash, as it was meant to buy basic commodities for his house.

A heated argument ensued between the two, Salam ran behind Wasim few moments later. When the heated argument continued, Salman allegedly stabbed Wasim with a knife and fled from the spot.Hearing his screams the public took him to the hospital but was declared brought dead. They informed the police. The  few people who witnessed the incident informed them that Salman and Wasim were seen having a heated argument.Both cases are under investigation.
