BENGALURU: Continuing its land eviction drive, the Bengaluru district administration has recovered 92 acres of government land worth `412 crore from five taluks.
Deputy Commissioner V Shanker said the highest land recovery, in terms of area and value, was in north additional taluk where the administration reclaimed 60 acres worth `350 crore.
“The land in Survey No. 55 of Bellahalli village was encroached through fake documents. The taluk authorities brought this to my notice and I asked them to proceed according to law and take over the land,” Shankar said.
He said the occupants were given notices in advances.
The drive was carried out in Bengaluru South, Bengaluru East, Bengaluru North and Anekal taluk.
