Corporate Golf Tournament Concludes

In this edition of the annual event, quartet scored 290.6

BENGALURU: The corporate golf tournament was won by Naresh Shah’s team consisting of Anil Sama, Nikhil Raj and Shankar Gopal. They won the AmCham invitational golf tournament2015 title at the Prestige Golfshire Golf Club.

The quartet logged a score of 290.6 to nose ahead of the second placed team of Aiyappa Madappa, Gopi S, Varun Berry and Vikram Reddy who finished with 293.2.

The annual event featured the leading corporate honchos from various American companies along with top bureaucrats and invitees from non-American companies. Former KGA president Hitesh Joshi emerged as the overall champion in the singles category. Srirag Jayaraman took the honours in the 0-14 handicap category with a score of 69.4 while Anuj Zinzuwadia was the runner-up at 70.4.

In the 15-24 handicap category, Puttraj with a total of 70 emerged as the winner with Sunnira LY being the runner-up.

In the AmCham category, NP Thimmaiah emerged victorious in the 0-14 category while Gaurav Singh was the winner in the 15-24 handicap category as Iqbal Sait was second on a countback after both had logged a score of 73 Nett.

Apart from the main prizes, various skill contests kept the participants enthused. Nanje Gowda emerged the winner in the Straightest Drive contest while Alan Whelan won the Closest to Pin award. Brian Walsh took home the Longest Drive award.
