35-year-old Goes Fishing, Drowns

BENGALURU: A 35-year-old employee of a private company drowned in Chennaganahalli lake in Kadugodi police station limits on Wednesday.

He has been identified as Bore Gowda, a resident of Chennaganahalli.

The police said he had gone to the lake to fish and the incident took place in the afternoon. After a while he jumped into the lake, and was caught in silt.

A passerby tried to rescue him, and when he could not reach Gowda, alerted fire and emergency personnel who rushed to the spot.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
