BENGALURU:  In their annual exercise, EducationWorld India Preschool Rankings 2015, has rated Head Start Montessori in Koramangala as the first among proprietary pre schools in Bengaluru. The survey ranks schools in each city and, in a first, preschools have been divided into three categories, proprietary, franchised and pre primaries of K-10/12.

Eurokids in RMV Second Stage has been ranked first among franchised schools and Indus Early Learning Centre in Whitefield has been ranked first among pre primaries of K-10/12.

The survey was conducted across 10 cites, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Hyderabad.

To conduct the survey, over 100 field researchers of the Delhi-based market research and public opinion polls company Centre for Forecasting & Research Pvt Ltd (C fore) quizzed 6,283 respondents including parents (with at least one child in preschool), teachers and principals, asking them to rate preschools on ten parameters of education excellence including teacher competence, teacher welfare and development, safety and hygiene, leadership, innovative teaching, value for money, parental involvement, individual attention to students, special needs education and infrastructure. The scores awarded to preschools under each parameter were totalled to rank preschools.

BEST.JPGIn response to feedback received from pre-primary school managements and educators, many of whom complained about “unfair” and “irrational” comparisons, this year’s survey segregates preschools into three categories. “Owned school franchises are  confronted with different challenges according to their character,” said Premchand Palety,CEO of C fore.
