Father, Son Killed in Road Accident

BENGALURU:  In a tragic road accident, a man and his son died after the two-wheeler they were on was hit by a lorry at Chokkasandra junction in T Dasarahalli on Saturday night.

Police said the deceased have been identified as Manjunath (35) and Nagaraj (58). They were heading home to T Dasarahalli at around 11 pm after work when the incident took place. Both used to work as food vendors near Kanteerava stadium and were residents of Mallasandra pipe line road.

Father.JPGManjunath was trying to take a U-turn at Chokkasandra Junction Cross on NH 4 when the lorry hit the two-wheeler killing him on the spot. Nagaraj was thrown off the two-wheeler and succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

The lorry that hit their scooter bore a Maharashtra registration number. Soon after the incident, the lorry driver fled leaving the vehicle behind. Peenya traffic police, who arrived at the spot later have registered a case.
