Tenth Garshom Awards Announced

Joseph Scaria from Philippines, Jeny Verma from Bengaluru, Musthafa Hamza from Kuwait, Squadron Leader P P Cherian (Retd) from Kochi, Mathai Jacob from Nigeria and Ragavan Nambiar from Malaysia have been awarded Garshom Pravasi Ratna, Garshom Pravasi Vanitha, Gashom Yuva Pravasi, Garshom Pravasi Returnee, Garshom Special Awards respectively. All India Malayalee Association - AIMA from Chennai has won the Best Pravasi Malayalee Association of the year 2015. The award committee includes State Bank of Travancore retired Chief General Manager K Sukumaran, Tirur Malayalam University Asst Professor and novelist A Anvar, Journalist Union Kollam District Secretary D Jayakrishnan and Garshom Infomedia Limited Managing Editor Jins Paul selected the winners of Garshom Awards 2015.

IIM-B Launches Course for Healthcare Executives Indian Institute of Management Bengaluru (IIM-B) will launch General

Management Programme for Healthcare Executives. The year-long certificate course will commence in in June 2016. The programme has been developed by Executive Education Programmes (EEP), IIM-B and Apollo Medskills. Chairperson of EEP, Shyamal Roy, said the programme was a result of a long-pending demand from healthcare sector. Clinicians looking to pursue a career in hospital management, professionals from healthcare delivery and allied sectors, entrepreneurs and management consultants are eligible to apply for the programme.

Employees Keep Xmas Small, Donate Savings

Staff of a creative agency in the city, Stirred’, have decided to celebrate a smaller Christmas and donate the savings to a local orphanage Nirmala Shishu Bhavan. They have even released a heart-warming film on the initiative ‘Smallxmas’, in which employees across departments are shown cutting costs. One is shown picking a smaller wine bottle and another a smaller chocolate bar. Even Hobbes, the head of security and a white Labrador, gets a smaller chewey.

Business Park to Give Govt School Students Gifts

Embassy Office Parks is celebrating Christmas with Gift a Smile, an initiative to distribute gifts to over 2,000 children from acoss 10 government schools, supported by Embassy Group, Colours of Life and Gurukulam, Pune. The children were gifted colouring, stationary and sports kits, board games, puzzles, other toys and exam boards.
