Man's Mysterious Death Being Probed

BENGALURU:  A former employee of a bakery died under mysterious circumstances on Monday morning. The deceased is Ananth Kumar (30), a native of Chitradurga who was living in Tilak Nagar. According to the police, Ananth Kumar was working in a bakery which was shut down a month ago. However, Ananth remained in the same building with his other colleagues and they were searching for jobs.

On Sunday night, Ananth Kumar and his friends had dinner as usual and slept at around 11 pm. On Monday morning, Ananth did not wake up even at 10.30 am. When one of his friends tried to wake him up, Ananth did not respond. He then informed his other friends and rushed Ananth to a hospital where doctors declared he was brought dead. Soon the friends alerted the police.

The body was taken to postmortem. Tilak Nagar police, who registered a case, said they are yet to determine the cause of death and added that they would act upon the case as soon as they get the postmortem report.  

Man Hangs Self

In another incident, a 45-year-old man who was married six months ago hanged himself in his residence on Challakere on Sunday afternoon. The deceased is Albert Scissor, an electrician.

The incident came to light when his wife Mary returned home at 2.30 pm from mass at a church in Shivajinagar. 

Police said, “His family members said he was depressed after his friend had committed suicide on December 25. This could have made him take such an extreme step.” Hennur police have registered a case.

Father, Son Run Over by Bus

A 55-year-old man and his son were killed on the spot after a speeding private bus crashed into their bike on Anekal road near here on Monday.

The deceased are identified as Ramaiah and his son Ganesh (32), residents of Channena Agrahara.

Police said that the incident took place around 5.30 pm when the duo were on their way to Anekal after visiting a relative’s house at a nearby village. A speeding private bus which was coming from the opposite direction crashed into their bike at Samandur Gate and ran over them. The locals took both to a nearby hospital, where they were declared brought dead. The bus driver fled the scene soon after the mishap.

The bus was driven in reckless manner said Anekal police who have seized the bus.
