Woman Among 6 Held for Murder

BENGALURU:  Siddapura police have arrested six people, including a woman, in connection with the murder of a 32-year-old scrap dealer.

The arrested are Tabrej Pasha, his wife Raziya Sultana, Mohemmed Sultan, Syed Ali and Vasssim, all from Jayanagar, and Mohemmed Jahir of Mangammanapalya.

Palice said all the men are are auto drivers who were allegedly offered supari to kill scrap dealer Jafer Saadiq of Dayanandasagar slum by Razia.

Saadiq was found murdered at his house on December 23. During investigation, police learnt that in March last year, Saadiq and his friend Sharukh murdered another scrap dealer Mohemmed Kamal, who allegedly had an illicit affair with the former’s wife’s elder sister. The duo were arrested by the Siddapur police. Kamal’s elder sister Razia plotted to kill Saadiq after he was released a month ago. She and her husband gave the supari to Kamal’s friends Jahir, Sulthan and Ali, who hacked Saadiq to death.

Dinner Before Murder

Two days before the murder, Razia had called all the accused and served them dinner. She also made her husband promise that he would bring the head of Saadiq to prove he was dead and had assured the others of taking care of their families.
