Taking it a notch forward, CBSE has released several of its text books online, under e-CBSE.

Students of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) schools, especially those studying from Class 8 to 12, will now have access to almost all their text books. Only a few books of the remaining classes have been uploaded and are expected to be available soon.

The e-CBSE programme, which can be easily accessed using the CBSE’s website, is part of the Digital India Initiative and the collection is accessible by anyone with an internet connection.

As on Tuesday, 33 textbooks for Class 12 students, 42 of Class 11, 21 of Class 9 and 10, nine of Class 6 to 8, three of Class 1 to 5 were accessible. Apart from them, three teacher’s manuals and a compendium of tools for mentoring have also been uploaded in the website.

It can be recalled that the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) textbooks were also made accessible to students online recently.
