Chance of a Lifetime for Entrepreneurs

BENGALURU: In an effort to encourage tech startups, TechHub, a network of entrepreneurs, and UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) launched RocketShips — a global call for ideas from entrepreneurs.

A press note from TechHub stated that budding entrepreneurs can record a 60-second video on technology-based business ideas and tweet to @TechHubBlr at #Ifnotnowthenwhen hashtag.

Based on the retail and finance technology behind the idea and data analysis, selected entries will be invited to present a demo of the product on February 3.

Selected candidates would get the opportunity to visit the UK and explore the local technology. Winners would receive a one-year membership to the TechHub network.

Kumar Iyer, British Deputy High Commissioner, Mumbai, and Director General of UKTI, India, said, “UK is an increasingly preferred choice for fast-growing Indian technology companies. India is one of the biggest investors in the UK. Through this initiative, we invite the most promising, innovative, and fastest-growing Indian tech companies to the UK.”
