Guard Held For Sexual Assault on Boy

BENGALURU:  Madiwala police arrested a 28-year-old security guard on Thursday for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy in a super market.

The accused has been identified as Krishna, who was deployed at a super market in HSR Layout by a private security agency.

Police said the complainant, who is an industrialist, stated that his son and he had gone to the super market on July 18 and Krishna took the boy to the ground floor and sexually assaulted him.

It was only the next day, when the boy complained about pain in his private parts that he was taken to a hospital, and the assault was confirmed by doctors.

Briefcase Alarm

An unclaimed briefcase on a footpath on Thursday created alarm in Byatarayanapura and Nayandahalli. Residents, fearing it might be laden with explosives, informed police,  who found the briefcase belonged to Kannada film director S Narayan. He had lodged a complaint of its theft.
