BENGALURU:  Gokul Machery alias M G Gokul, accused  of sending a hoax threat to Kempegowda International Airport, told CCB officials during interrogation that he had no connection with any terror outfit. But the central agencies are questioning the accused, as the threat was serious in nature.

Even though the investigation team came to the conclusion that it was a hoax, central agencies are gathering information on Gokul and his social contacts.

A police officer said, “We have decided to book the accused under stringent provisions of the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against Safety of Civil Aviation Act, 1982, and other sections of the IPC.

On the same night, Gokul had sent similar threat messages to Delhi International Airport. He sent a life threat message to an industrialist in New Delhi demanding `1 crore. The industrialist had filed a case with the Delhi police next day.”
