BENGALURU: The Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has announced the dates for Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) 2016. The test for admission to Post Graduate Medical and Dental courses in COMEDK member institutions will be conducted on the first Sunday of February 2016 (07-02-2016) Details regarding the schedule of examination, information brochure and so on will be notified in the due course. Aspirants can check the COMEDK website for regular updates, said an official release from COMEDK.
Candidates from across the country can appear for the examination. Eligibility criteria for the Post Graduate Degree/Diploma programmes are: The applicants must meet all the requirements stipulated by MCI / DCI. They must have passed their MBBS/BDS from an Institution recognised by MCI/DCI. They have completed or will be completing internship by April 30, 2016 at the latest and have obtained permanent registration with the MCI / DCI or any of the State Medical / Dental Council.
Candidature will not be acceptable if candidates already hold a PG Degree in any specialty; are pursuing a PG Degree / Diploma in any clinical specialty after securing the seat through COMEDK in the past or have selected a seat through COMEDK earlier and failed to join the college.
