QUEEN'S ROAD: Manipal Health Enterprises will conduct free heart screening for 10,000 people on Sunday, on account of ‘World International Heart Day’ which falls on September 29. The free screening will be facilitated simultaneously across all Manipal units in Bengaluru, Jaipur, Goa, Salem, Vijayawada, Vizag and Mangaluru.
According to a release from Manipal, this is a first-of-its-kind gesture. Appointments need to be made in advance.
The screening will begin at 9 am and will go on till 5 pm. This is part of Manipal Hospitals’ initiative to create awareness on heart problems.
On the occasion, Healthy Heart Package leaflets will be distributed, height and weight profiling will be done, a free blood pressure check-up camp will be held and cardiologists and CTVS surgeons will hold a ‘Health Talk’. For appointments, call 1800 3001 4000/99160 44422.
