Bengal techie's death: Wallet, phone missing

BENGALURU: The Kadugodi police, who are investigating the death of a 35-year-old techie, on Sunday said the man’s cellphone and wallet were missing from his apartment. Police are questioning his friends and have not ruled out foul play.

Sohan Haldar, a native of West Bengal, was found dead in his Prestige Shantiniketan apartment near Whitefield on Friday.

A police officer said Sohan lived alone while a few of his friends stayed in another apartment in the same building. Unable to contact him, Sohan’s friends knocked on his door but to no avail. They informed police, who found his decomposed body on Friday.

“We are waiting for the postmortem report to ascertain the cause of death, We have recorded statements of his family members. It is too early to confirm the cause of death,” the officer said.
