2 kids hurt as school bus rams BMTC bus

BENGALURU: Two students of a private school escaped with minor injures after their school bus crashed into a BMTC bus on NICE Road Junction near Anchepalya on Tuesday.

The injured are Rithwik and Ananth, 2nd Standard students of National Public School, Chikkabanavara.

Police said the incident occurred around 4.15 pm when the school bus was heading towards Madavara and Madanayakanahalli on the city’s outskirts to drop students. The bus driver drove in a reckless manner and crashed into a BMTC bus which was ahead.

The passengers of the BMTC rushed the injured students to a private hospital, where they are recovering. The school bus driver was booked for negligent driving. Another vehicle was arranged for the other students to be dropped home, police added.
