BENGALURU: A school in Yelahanka, which was closed by the authorities on Saturday after it was found to be unauthorised, was reopened on Wednesday.
The Bengaluru North-4 Block Education Officer had identified that Sri Chaitanya Techno School was being run against norms. He had issued notice to the school and directed it to be closed on Saturday.
On Wednesday, BEO Srinivas told Express, “They were running the school under some other trust, which is considered illegal. So we closed the school on Saturday. Today, we re-opened the school.” He added that a criminal case is being filed against the management of Sri Chaitanya Techno School.
The school has a student strength of 180 from Class 1 to 7. The high school section was closed down last year as it was functioning illegally without approval from the boards concerned.
