Watchman murders woman

BENGALURU: A 28-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by the watchman of her house. He surrendered before the police on Tuesday.

The deceased is Revathi, a resident of Sanjaynagar. Revathi was living in a rented accommodation owned by one Ramakrishna.

According to the police, the accused Murugan, hailing from Krishnagiri, was working as the watchman.

Police said around 12.30pm on Tuesday, Revathi slapped him for not carrying out his duty properly.

Angered, Murugan allegedly decided to kill Revathi.

In the evening, when Revathi was in the bathroom on the first floor of the house, Murugan attacked her with a machete, killing her on the spot.

Sanjaynagar Police have registered a case and the accused is in police custody for further questioning.
