Traffic restrictions for President’s visit today

BENGALURU: In view of President Pranab Mukherjee’s two-day visit to the city from Saturday, traffic police have effected certain restrictions.

A press release said movement of all types of vehicles are banned on Malleshwaram 18th Cross, Yeshwanthpur Circle, Karnataka Soap Factory Circle up to ISCKON temple on Saturday between 4 pm and 8 pm.

Commercial establishments on both sides of West of Chord Road from Soap Factory Circle up to Mahalakshmi Layout entrance are requested to avoid this route on Saturday between 4 pm and 8 pm.

The following traffic diversions will be in force on that day: Vehicles moving from city towards Tumakuru Road via Malleswaram have to take a left turn at Malleswaram Sampige Road bridge proceed towards M K K Road, West of Chord Road, Rajajinagar 1st Block and reach Mahalakshmi Layout Entrance and then take a left turn and join FTI Circle and proceed towards Tumakuru Road

On West of Chord Road, vehicles coming from Magadi Road and moving towards Yeshwanthpur from Mahalakshmi Layout Entrance should take a left turn to FTI Circle and proceed towards Tumakuru Road.

Vehicles coming from Malleshwaram 8th Main and 17th Cross and moving towards Yeshwanthpur should proceed towards 17th Cross, join Dr Rajkumar Road, Rajaji Nagar 1st Block and can reach Mahalakshmi Layout Entrance and then can take a left turn to FTI Circle and proceed towards Tumakuru Road.

Vehicles coming from Tumakuru Road should take right turn at CMTI Junction and proceed towards Ring Road and reach Summanhalli Junction and then take a left turn at the junction to reach city.

Vehicles moving towards Mekhri Circle should take left turn at Goraguntepalya Junction and proceed towards BEL Circle, Kuvempu Circle and Hebbal Flyover and right turn towards Mekhri Circle.
