BENGALURU: A 31-year-old history-sheeter was hacked to death by a gang of four men at Suddaguntepalya in Mico Layout on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Sunil, a resident of Bhovi Colony and was a dog trainer. He was married three years ago and has a two-year-old child.

Police said Sunil had gone to Sudduguntepalya to meet a friend on his two-wheeler around 8.30 am. Meanwhile, four men who came on separate vehicles attacked him and stabbed him repeatedly before fleeing. Locals, who noticed Sunil lying in a pool of blood, alerted the police and rushed him to a private hospital where he was declared brought dead.

It is said that Sunil was involved in a murder case that was reported in 2012. The rival gang attacked him to take revenge. However, the exact motive for the murder is yet to be ascertained, said a senior police officer.
