Man knocked down by bike succumbs

A 58-year-old pedestrian who was knocked down by a speeding motorcycle in JP Nagar on Saturday, succumbed to injuries on Monday. 

BENGALURU: A 58-year-old pedestrian who was knocked down by a speeding motorcycle in JP Nagar on Saturday, succumbed to injuries on Monday.  On Saturday, M L Narasimhamurthy, a resident of JP Nagar, had gone to a shop to buy provisions and was returning home by walk. A speeding bike being driven in a reckless manner knocked him down near the underpass on the Ring Road in JP Nagar.

He suffered severe head injuries and passersby rushed him to a nearby private hospital, where he succumbed on Monday evening. Eye witnesses identified the bike as a Bajaj Pulsar. Jayanagar traffic police, who  conducted a spot mahazar, are examining CCTV footage to ascertain the identity of the accused rider. The victim was working in a nearby factory after retiring from a private firm.
