BENGALURU: A 5-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by an unidentified person in the school premises at Nagawara in KG Halli police station limits in Bengaluru.

Based on the complaint by the parents, KG Halli police filed a case under POCSO and it is alleged that the LKG student was sexually assaulted on Monday afternoon. Upon reaching home later in the evening, she complained to her parent about some pain at her private part.

She was immediately taken to a private hospital where she was examined and it was discovered that she was sexually assaulted.

Speaking to Express, the school authorities said they examined CCTV footage and rejected any possibility of any such incident happening on the school premises.

Some people, who do not tolerate the growth of the school are making such false allegations, the school staffer said. “We have given all details to the police and they are investigating it,'' they added.

Investigations are on, said the police.
