'School' Leopard Escapes From Rescue Centre in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: The leopard which was captured at Vibgyor School near Marathahalli has escaped from the Bannerghatta Biological Park Rescue Centre.

The incident came to light this morning. Six teams of around 50 forest personnel are conducting an operation to track and recapture the feline.

The eight-years-old male was reported to be in an aggressive state following its capture.

The leopard was captured on February 7, after it prowled the school on a Sunday. Four persons were attacked, including wildlife expert Sanjay Gubbi, when they tried to capture it.

Forest officials have issued warnings to nearby localities regarding the animal.
