BENGALURU: Mattress is a major cause of ineffective sleep. But many of us make an understanding with it as we have paid for it. But Sunday mattress promises you happy sleep for life.

They manufacture has developed two models – a firm mattresses for those who like to sleep on floor and a not-so-soft and not-so-firm mattresses for others. If you are not happy with it, feel free to return it back in 100 days and get your money back.

The idea germinated from Alphonse Reddy’s experience with bad mattresses in 2011. The founder and CEO, says, “I ended up changing three mattresses in six months. They were exorbitantly priced and did not have any returns policy.”

They started working on the model in mid 2014. It took them more than 12 months to develop the product range that includes mattresses, pillows, toppers and protector pads.

You can order the mattress on a call or online for a home demo or by visiting their office in Kasturi Nagar.

The company sells directly to the customers, making it cheap for the consumers to procure them. “If you are not satisfied, you can return the mattress within 100 days. The company would collect the mattresses back and refund the entire amount,” he adds.

Pointing out where people go wrong in selecting mattress, Alphonse says, “Among the south Indians, I have observed that they spend a lot on the bed, but when it comes to mattress, they spend about Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000. Using free pillows or mattress could be one of the important factors for ineffective sleep.”

Not all people would find their mattresses suitable. He admits, “Five per cent of the mattress we sell are returned. We understand that it’s not possible for all the people to find these mattresses suitable.”

The Bengaluru-based startup also ships mattresses to Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai and New Delhi.
