Six held for robbery near Yeshwanthpur Metro station

The gang made away with `16 lakh cash on October 25 when Manjunath, an employee of a private finance firm, was on his way to the office after collecting money from vendors.

BENGALURU: THE Yeshwanthpur police on Wednesday arrested a gang of six for robbing a private firm employee near Yeshwanthpur Metro station. The gang made away with `16 lakh cash on October 25 when Manjunath, an employee of a private finance firm, was on his way to the office after collecting money from vendors.

A gang of six bike-borne men waylaid Manjunath, pointed a knife at him and snatched the cash bag.

Based on CCTV footage, police traced the vehicle details and gathered information. The accused are -- Sandeep, Prashanth, Shivakumar and two others. Police have recovered `14 lakh from them.
