Father murders his two children in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: In a shocking incident, two minor children were killed by their father in Bengaluru on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Shiva Shankar (5) and Aditya (4), children of Satish Kumar and Jyothi, a couple residing in RBI Layout near Konanakunte cross. Satish and Jyothi had married six years ago and Satish was working as a plumber while Jyothi was working as a house maid. 

The incident took place after Jyothi left for work on Wednesday morning. Satish who was staying at home allegedly killed the children.

According to the police, Shiva Shankar’s head was bludgeoned and Aditya was strangled to death. However, the motive behind the crime could not be ascertained.

The incident came to light when Jyothi came back home from her work saw the dead bodies of the children lying inside the house. Satish had fled from the place before his wife arrived home. Soon, Jyothi alerted the police who rushed to the spot. 

The bodies have been taken to KIMS hospital for postmortem. Satish Kumar is a native of Humnabad and Jyothi is from Kanakapura.   

Subramanyapura police have registered the case and investigations are underway.
