Realtor, two others killed in separate accidents 

BENGALURU: Four people, including a realtor, were killed in separate accidents in the city on Tuesday and Wednesday.
A 27-year-old realtor and educationist died on NICE road in a serial accident early on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Puneeth Kumar, a resident of HSR Layout. He also used to run an      educational institute in Electronics City.

Late on Tuesday night, Puneeth was heading towards a resort on Kanakapura Road to attend a birthday party of a friend. Around 12.15 am, Puneeth parked his vehicle on the road side to relieve himself. Meanwhile, a lorry carrying granite lost control and collided with a tempo which crushed Puneeth and his car while he was returning to his car. The lorry driver fled from the spot after the accident.
Three people, including the tempo driver, were injured. A NICE patrol vehicle rushed to the spot and shifted Puneeth to a hospital nearby where authorities declared him brought dead. Talaghattapura police have registered a case.

Hit-and-run case
A 25-year-old pedestrian died after an unidentified vehicle knocked him down in Singasandra on Hosur Road early on Wednesday. Police identified the victim as Bheemappa (25), a native of Pavagada in Tumakuru district.
He was working with a private firm near Kudlu Gate.
The incident occurred around midnight while Bheemappa was heading to his friend’s house after work. An unidentified vehicle knocked him down and passersby shifted Bheemappa to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Electronics City traffic police have got a part of the registration plate of the vehicle and efforts are on to nab the accused.

Two-wheeler hits lorry
A 28-year-old man died after he rammed his two-wheeler into a parked lorry near the CBI office on Ballari Road on Wednesday. The deceased is Charan Somanna (28), a resident of K R Puram and a native of Madikeri. He was working as a manager in Ramanashree hotel.
Around 1.20 am, Somanna, who was returning home on his two-wheeler failed to notice the parked lorry and rammed into it. The lorry had its parking lights on.
Passersby rushed him to a hospital nearby where doctors declared him brought dead. The R T Nagar traffic police have registered a case.

Pedestrian knocked down
A pedestrian was killed by an unidentified vehicle near the Outer Ring Road in Banaswadi on Tuesday night. The deceased is Narasimhulu (45), a resident of Banaswadi and a native of Challakere. Around 7.30 pm, Narasimhulu was crossing the road when an unidentified vehicle rammed him and sped away. He was declared brought dead when rushed to a hospital. Banaswadi traffic police are investigating.
