Battery loco pulls Metro, trial run today

BENGALURU: TO kick-start the first trial run between National College and Yelachenahalli on Sunday, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) on Saturday pulled a train using a battery-operated loco from Sampige Road Mantri Square Station to KR Market Metro station.

“This marks the most important achievement of Phase-I so far,” said BMRCL MD Pradeep Singh Kharola.The loco left Sampige station at 4.30pm and reached KR Market station at 6.30pm, he said.
The train would be taken from KR Market station to National College Metro station for the trial run to be flagged off by Bengaluru Development Minister K J George.
