BENGALURU: A gang of men allegedly barged into a house in J P Nagar 7th Phase and demolished the compound wall. The incident took place on Sunday late night.
The police said that the complainant Shivashankar, a resident of Puttenahalli, alleged that Praveen Reddy, the owner of Mahaveer Developers, along with his associates barged into his house and demolished the compound wall.
There were more than 100 people who abused his family and threatened to kill him. Based on the complaint, we are looking for the accused. We also obtained the CCTV camera footage to gather more details of the incident. Property dispute is the reason for the incident, said the police.
When Express contacted Reddy, his employees said that he is not available to comment.
Harassed by husband,woman hangs self
A 26-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging at her residence in Aiyappanagar, KR Puram on Sunday. The victim’s family alleged that domestic harrassment led her to take the extreme step and demanded action against the husband.
The deceased was identified as Yogeshwari, wife of Maheshwar Reddy, a private company employee. The couple have a two-year-old child.
The incident took place late night. Reddy found Yogeshwari hanging and alerted the neighbours, who informed the police. Couple had earlier quarrelled over some family dispute and Yogeshwari would also often complain of harassment to her parents.
Yogheswari’s parents, who hail from Kadappa in Andhra Pradesh,alleged foul play. “Based on their complaint, we are questioning Reddy. Postmortem report will reveal the exact cause of the death,” said police sources.
