BENGALURU: Today Open Trunk will open a pop-up store with creations of designers from across India at Olive Beach, 16, Wood Street, Ashok Nagar.

It will be open at 10 am. There will be clothes and jewellery, both exclusive to this newly launched website.

“Young designers are not short of display spaces,” says Deepa Reddy, founder of The Open Trunk, “but being associated with good promoting platform is more important”.

Towards this they have designed Adiriti. “We have more than 40 designers curated from major cities ranging between 24 and 50,” says Deepa. There are many young designers in Bengaluru, she says and mentions Kavya of Soulful and Indrani Dhiren Royan of Rani Pink. “They have very creative fun elements in their designs,” she says.

Open Trunk itself aligns more to Indian side of aesthetics and have “chic yet traditional designs”. They have Indo-Western and Indian clothes, silver jewellery and hand-crafted footwear. Deepa says that all “without the hefty price tag” and for all age groups.

The present exhibition will have customised products from Jayanti Reddy, Brahmini Reddy, Preeya Gupta, Sujatha Pai, Moobaa, Jyoti Sachdev Iyer and Raj Shroff to name a few.
