BENGALURU: The body of a 36-year-old woman was found in her paramour’s house in Shanabhoganahalli on Friday. However, mystery surrounds her death.
The deceased has been identified as Jayalakshmi, wife of Kumar, a resident of K P Agrahara.
On Thursday evening, Jayalakshmi said she would go to a temple but went to her lover Raju’s house in Shanabhoganahalli.
On Friday morning, Raju, an auto driver, went to Bannerghatta police and informed them that Jayalakshmi had died in his house due to a heart attack. Police rushed to the spot and sent her body for post-mortem.
Police said, “There were no wound marks on the body. However, we can’t ascertain the reason behind the death till we get the post-mortem report.”
The police added that Raju has been detained for further questioning.
Investigation revealed that Jayalakshmi and Raju had befriended each other seven years ago when they were neighbours K R Agrahara. Raju had moved to Shanabhoganahalli three years ago.
Jayalakshmi often visited his house secretly. Kumar and Jayalakshmi have two daughters aged 16 and 18 years.
