Train passengers stage snap stir

BENGALURU: Peeved over the frequent delays in arrival and departure, passengers of Hosur-Bangalore train protested near Byappanahalli on Monday morning. They have sent many letters to the divisional railway manager and even met railway officials, but in vain.

On Monday, when the train was stopped at several places to give way to other trains, the passengers ran out of patience. They subsequently vented their anger through an impromptu protest.
“It was not planned. We were getting late to work and hence forced to do this to bring the issue to the notice of the railways and the ministry. All we need is punctuality and an increase in train frequency on this track. This will help 14 lakh people, as this is only track that connects all the major IT tech parks. It  is also connected to three Metro stations,” said a commuter.
