Miscreants sneak into mason’s house, flee with Rs 1 lakh

BENGALURU: Two unidentified men sneaked into a mason’s house and escaped with `1 lakh at Kudlu near Parappana Agrahara on Thursday. The miscreants threw some powder on his shoulder to divert the attention when they planned for the robbery.

Imran, a resident of VGP Layout stated in the complaint that the incident took place when he returned home after withdrawing money from Corporation bank. While returning on bike, some powder was thrown on his shoulder and when he reached home, he developed itching and pain. He rushed to the bathroom to wash the powder and kept the bag containing money in the hall. His wife was in the kitchen. When he came out, he found the money missing. The couple then raised an alarm.

The neighbour noticed two men going on a bike nearby Imran’s house but they could not be traced. Imran then filed a case. There is no CCTV camera in the area and police have no clues about the miscreants so far.Police earlier suspected that Imran might be lying but investigation hints at involvement of known persons.
