Metro inspection extended

The three-day inspection by the Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS), which was supposed to conclude on Wednesday, has now been extended by a day.

BENGALURU:   The three-day inspection by the Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS), which was supposed to conclude on Wednesday, has now been extended by a day. Inspection of BMRCL’s depots and its Operations Control Centre at Baiyappanahalli will take place on Thursday.
On Wednesday, the CMRS and his team inspected Chickpet, KR Market and National College stations. The team also travelled by a train along the route. The train was run slowly initially and then accelerated to a high speed of 80 kmph.

No train services
Due to extension of the inspection, Metro will not run trains on the Green Line between Rajajinagar and Mantri Square Sampige Road Metro stations on Thursday. Trains will continue to be run between Rajajinagar and Nagasandra. BMTC will provide periodic bus services between Rajajinagar Metro station and Kempe Gowda Interchange Metro station, a press release said.
